I'm planning to take a vanfull of people to a PawSox minor league baseball game on Thursday, June 7th, at11:00 AM. I have a total of 7 passenger seats in the vehicle.
The tickets are $14. There's no other cost, except what you might buy to eat. We'll need to be leaving the Boston area by 9:30. I should be able to pick people up from a couple central points, depending on who's coming.
For anyone who might not be familiar with the Paw Sox, they are a professional minor league AAA team connected with the Red Sox. Many of the Red Sox players played for the Paw Sox the year before joining the Red Sox. Their tickets are =much= cheaper ($14), and it's possible to get seats very close to the players, to see everything better.
I'll also be explaining how the game of baseball works.
The team also does "promotions" during certain games, and this one is a "STEM Student Day," which is explained below.
I guess the way to arrange this is on the basis of the first 7 people to e-mail a definite commitment. If you want to go, I'll need a definite commitment, as I will be buying the tickets ahead of time and will be telling others I don't have any more room based on your commitment.
Perhaps we can also find other drivers who want to go, but these events can get too complicated, so I want to start with one vehicle, at least. (There are other games in the future.)
Let me know if you want to go. This is an inexpensive and fun way to experience a piece of American culture.
STEM Student Days
The PawSox are hosting its STEM Student Day, for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics STEM. A day dedicated to school children where Atomic Allen from Mad Science will put on multiple science experiments in between innings, including launching a rocket pre-game! Each student who attends the game will receive a Baseball Math and Science workbook. Presented by Universal Technical Institute.
